To provide FREE salon services to women in need, in a respectful way. To empower our clients by freeing them from concerns about their appearance, enabling them to focus on more important aspects of their journey to a happier self. To work with agencies who assist women in getting back on their feet, by distributing free service vouchers. To retail handmade products (purchased from local and online retailers through Etsy ) where proceeds will support the business and advocacy program. To distribute current information about the needs of the women we serve, via the retail of these products, thus raising awareness and generating support.

National

To organize/participate in yearly events that bring our services to communities in need, via tours booked with organizations and/or special fund-raising events for the benefit of communities we support.

Short Term

Our mobile salon facility will tour once a year to support our mission across the nation. Locally when not in transit it will be parked and in service to the public as a full service salon. Vouchers for free services will be distributed among local agencies to be redeemed by those in need.

Long Term Goals

It is our dream to employ this non-profit business model across the nation, staffed by respected professionals who can meet the needs of the communities they serve. It would be a perfect, low cost opportunity for stylists to run and operate their own business while still working towards empowering others. SHED would then be able to network with these branches to provide free services to a larger group of people.
