Update!

Just wanted to let everyone know that we took a little break to take care of some family business, but are getting the ball rolling again this month with some exciting new developments.

Shed is working with a local friend to secure a live/work space that will be conveniently located on public transit and part of the Urban Renewal project. The location we have our eye on would be a lovely fit for what we are envisioning, and we’re going to try really hard to make it a reality.

The fundraiser is still ongoing for anyone who would like to chip in on Shed’s start-up costs. At this point we are considering using your donations as seed money in an IDA account specifically set up to match our savings 3:1 for opening Shed. We are also available to assist with charity fundraising efforts in exchange for helping us get the word out about our fundraiser. Recently we did a charity cut and color for KASESE Wilderness Fund, and helped them raise over $4000! While promoting their cause, Mike Surrett was able to collect $100 towards Shed’s funding which was really wonderful.

As for the crafting of fundraiser rewards, I am back at it today and will be getting the rest of those items out to you shortly. In light of the orders that initially came pouring in, I may need to adjust our timeframe to allow for time for these items to be found and painted, or built by hand. Many apologies for those of you who have been waiting patiently, I promise it will be worth the wait.
